It's been awhile...

So...
It's been awhile!
Here's what's up:

*Huntsville Symphony is done for the summer, but will resume in September.  Currently, it is my hope to continue subbing in with this group and possibly audition for one of the open violin roster positions available in 2013.

*School of Worship continues to be a huge blessing, with students coming and going.  As I get to know this awesome people, the more deeply I can encourage and mentor more than just music with these kids.  In addition, the other mentors are becoming some of my own primary musical and spiritual encouragers.  While this gig is very part-time, it was God-sent in more ways than I can count!

*I have completed my Discovery Village weeks at my church in TN, and this incredible group of people has clicked so beautifully!  This means I have two small groups/Bible Studies, each VERY different from the other and providing different opportunities to serve & be served.  All in all, through it, I know that I am definitely in the place(s) I am supposed to be!

*We have had some amazing guests at the house I live in!  My landlord/roommate's family dropped in for a couple of days a few months ago. A few weeks later, my friends from REILLY came to stay while they worked on recording a new album in Nashville.  A week or so after that, my older brother, Jason, my sister-in-law, Ashley, my 7-year-old nephew, and my 4 (now 5)-year-old niece came to visit!  (I love seeing the world- especially in the country- through the eyes of my beloved niece and nephew!  Creation seems even more amazing!) There has also been at least one house party, which may have been the best one yet, even if it rained on the first fire pit fire!  I love my friends!

*Summer plans include a drive up north to get my remaining belongings from my mom's place, a day at Sonshine Fest in Willmar, MN, and a family reunion in Grand Rapids, MN.  I hope to road trip with my younger brother, Carter, back to Nashville so he can experience its amazingness.  I may also be moving closer to Nashville (I currently commute from south of the city) very soon- an event that comes with mixed feelings, but a sense of peace from God.  He is doing something new.  Who am I to get in the way of that?

Thanks for reading!  I'm off to the Wavorly/House of Heroes/Stephanie Smith show tonight! YES!!!
